Army Awards Sikorsky $55 Million Contract Modification For Mexican Black Hawk Helicopters

The Army awarded Sikorsky, a division of Lockheed Martin [LMT], a $55 million foreign military sales (FMS) contract modification for seven uniquely configured UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters bound for Mexico, the service said April 11.The total award was obligated at award time using Fiscal 2016 “other procurement” funds. Army Awards Sikorsky $55 Million Contract Modification For Mexican Black Hawk Helicopters

The Army awarded Sikorsky, a division of Lockheed Martin [LMT], a $55 million foreign military sales (FMS) contract modification for seven uniquely configured UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters bound for Mexico, the service said April 11.

The total award was obligated at award time using Fiscal 2016 “other procurement” funds. Contract work is to occur in West Palm Beach, Fla., with an expected completion date by Feb. 28, 2019.

The contracting activity is Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala.

The Pentagon has approved Sikorsky contracts to provide a total of several dozen variously configured UH-60M Black Hawks and assorted equipment in April 2014, September 2014, and March 2015.
