Senate Authorizers Propose $200.5 Million Cut To Army’s IVAS 1.2 Procurement

Senate authorizers in their fiscal year 2025 defense policy bill have proposed cutting the Army’s procurement of Integrated Visual Augmentation System (IVAS) 1.2 headsets by $200.5 million. The Senate Armed Services Committee’s proposed FY ‘25 National Defense Authorization Act, filed on Monday for full consideration, would reduce most of the Army’s requested buy for the upgraded 1.2 version of the headsets as the program heads toward critical testing that may determine the fate of the potential $22 billion program.
