Lt. Gen. John Murray has been nominated to receive a fourth star and lead the Army’s modernization efforts as commander of the new Futures Command.Murray, who currently serves as deputy chief of staff G-8, would oversee the Army’s entire modernization command and an operation of around 500 personnel.The nomination arrives after senior Army leadership on July 13 announced Austin, Texas, as the location for Futures Command’s headquarters (Defense Daily, July 13).The new organization will be on par with the Army’s…
