Boeing Wins $668 Million Contract To Provide Apaches To Qatar

The U.S. Army awarded Boeing [BA] an undefinitized fixed-price-incentive, foreign military sales (FMS) contract worth nearly $668 million to provide 24 AH-64E Apache helicopters to Qatar, the Army said Tuesday.Other equipment in the sale includes one Longbow crew trainer, ground support equipment, and Thales radios.Work is set to occur in Mesa, Ariz., with an estimated completion date of May 31, 2020.In total, $136 million in funds were obligated at award time. Boeing Wins $668 Million Contract To Provide Apaches To Qatar

The U.S. Army awarded Boeing [BA] an undefinitized fixed-price-incentive, foreign military sales (FMS) contract worth nearly $668 million to provide 24 AH-64E Apache helicopters to Qatar, the Army said Tuesday.

Other equipment in the sale includes one Longbow crew trainer, ground support equipment, and Thales radios.

Work is set to occur in Mesa, Ariz., with an estimated completion date of May 31, 2020.

In total, $136 million in funds were obligated at award time. The contracting activity is Army Contracting Command at Redstone Arsenal, Ala.

In 2014 Qatar accepted a potential $11 billion offer to buy U.S. Patriot, Javelin, and Apaches (Defense Daily, June 15, 2014).
