Army Nearing End Of Future Howitzer ‘Road Show,’ BAE Systems Details ‘Successful’ Demos

The Army is set to wrap up its ‘road show’ of performance demonstrations to assess five vendors’ mobile tactical cannon solutions by mid-December, according to a lead official, with the service next set to work in January on refining characteristics for its future howitzer platform. “So far, the vendors that we’ve seen are absolutely ready for competitive evaluation, in terms of the platform [and] in terms of what we think will become our desired characteristics as we refine…the requirements documents…
