Veritas Capital on Tuesday said it has made a strategic investment in Epiq Solutions

, a provider of radio frequency (RF) solutions and components for the aerospace and defense markets.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed although Epiq, which is based near Chicago, is now a portfolio company of Veritas. The company will still be led by its co-founders who retains a significant ownership position.

The investment will provide Epiq with product development and market expansion.

“Veritas’ deep network, expertise investing at the intersection of technology and government, and collaborative approach will support our continued investment in product advancement and our rapid expansion into new markets,” John Orlando, Epiq’s CEO, said in a statement.

Veritas said it will support Epiq’s growth organically and through targeted acquisitions.

Epiq’s financial adviser on the deal was Raymond James.
