U.S. To Deploy THAAD To Israel To Increase Air Air And Missile Defense Amid Iran Conflict

The  Defense Department on Sunday said President Biden directed the deployment of one Lockheed Martin [LMT] Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) battery and associated U.S. military crew to Israel to aid its air and missile defenses amid conflict with Iran. This directive, that Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin authorized, is in reaction to Iran’s April 13 and Oct. 1 missile attacks on Israel as the conflict between the two countries continues to escalate.  Officials have said the Oct. 1 attack…
