TransDigm To Acquire Simmonds Business From RTX For $765 Million

TransDigm Group Inc. [TDG] on Monday said it has agreed to acquire the Simmonds Precision Products business from RTX [RTX] for $765 million, a deal that is in line with the company’s focus on acquisitions of businesses with proprietary components and strong aftermarket revenue. The cash deal includes certain tax benefits. TransDigm said the pending transaction is subject to regulatory approvals.
