A U.S. based business of France’s Thales will acquire a small unit of Boeing [BA] that serves the intelligence, defense, and homeland security markets. Terms of deal were not disclosed. Boeing said it is selling its Digital Receiver Technology (DRY) unit to Maryland-based Thales, Defense & Security, Inc. DRT on its website says it designs and manufactures software defined radios that gather and analyze signals intelligence. Boeing’s defense business acquired DRT in 2008.
