Defense electronics company SRC, Inc. on Monday said it has acquired a small company called SAZE Technologies, LLC, to strengthen and accelerate its work on radar systems.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. SRC, a non-profit research and development company based in New York, said SAZE will become a subsidiary of its SRC Ventures, Inc., and that 11 of SAZE’s employees will continue with the company.

SAZE, which is based in Maryland, has expertise in algorithm development, data analysis, experiment planning and execution, signal processing, and communications and sensor systems. The company was founded in 2012 and has been a subcontractor and teammate of SRC, focused on radar research and development.

“This venture will bring new capabilities to our extensive radar knowledge base,” Paul Tremont, SRC’s CEO, said in a statement. “The result will be an accelerated timeline for delivering systems to our warfighters.”
