Senate Democrats on Thursday announced their rosters for the powerful Appropriations and Armed Services Committees, with newly-elected Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.) joining the latter panel. Slotkin, a former Pentagon official, is taking now-retired Sen. Joe Manchin’s seat on SASC, while Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) and Jon Ossoff (D-Ga.) have been tapped as the newest members of the Senate Appropriations Committee.
