Satcom Direct Communications, Inc. (SDC) has acquired the United States government satellite communications business of Airbus Group, expanding its presence in the U.S. government market.The former Airbus unit was once better known as COMSAT and SDC has renamed it Satcom Direct Government, Inc., doing business under the brand name COMSAT. Under Airbus, the business unit was called Astrium Services Government, Inc. (ASGI).SDC has acquired all of ASGI’s business operations and two earth stations located on the East and West Coasts…
