When the office of the DoD comptroller released its fiscal 2026 budget documents on June 27, there was a reference to the U.S. Space Force providing $277 million for the MILNET proliferated low Earth orbit (pLEO) constellation. Now, it appears that was an error. "In FY 2026, funds were erroneously transferred into Program Element (PE) 1203609SF, pLEO SATCOM (MILNET) from PEs 1203154SF, Long Rang Kill Chains and 1206427SF Space Systems Prototype Transitions," according to the Space Force research and development…
