Sarnoff Introduces Mobile Surveillance System

Sarnoff Corp., part of SRI International, has introduced TerraScout, a mobile surveillance system for commercial or military use. TerraScout has a 30-foot telescoping mast equipped with day and night cameras capable of 360-degree rotation. The cameras have a resolution of 12 pixels per person and have range of 500 meters. The system can used at speeds up to 20 mph, be controlled remotely and preprogrammed for surveillance routines. The system can be upgraded to include additional cameras and sensors. "It…
