Raytheon Delivers SUV-Based Rad Detection System To DNDO

By Calvin Biesecker Raytheon [RTN] yesterday said it has delivered a radiation detection system that is integrated into a sports utility vehicle (SUV) to the Department of Homeland Security's Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO). Raytheon declined to discuss the contract or its terms, referring all questions to DNDO. The company did say delivery of the new system will allow DNDO to operate in urban environments and will enhance border security and national defense by preventing the smuggling of nuclear materials…
