Northrop Grumman Completes B-2 Radar Modernization Field Installations

Northrop Grumman [NOC] successfully completed all field installations of a new radar system for the Air Force’s fleet of B-2 stealth bombers. Every operational B-2 is now equipped with the new radar system, which is manufactured by Raytheon [RTN]. The new system includes an advanced electronically-scanned array (AESA) antenna, a power supply and a modified receiver/exciter, according to a Northrop Grumman statement.
