A Delta II rocket launched the NOAA-N prime polar-orbiting weather satellite into orbit from Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif., Friday, ending a two-day launch delay caused by a systems glitch. The Delta II, lifting off from Space Launch Complex-2, is a product of United Launch Alliance, a joint venture of Lockheed Martin [LMT] and Boeing [BA].
