NATO Extends Secretary General For Another Year

The North Atlantic Council yesterday approved a fifth year for Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen, an extension that will run through July 31, 2014. The allies will support Rasmussen in his work to carry out NATO’s tasks, missions and objectives, based on consensual allied decisions, the council said.
