Marine Corps, GD Investing In New Technologies To Build EFV

By Geoff Fein LIMA, Ohio--General Dynamics [GD] and the Marine Crops have made significant investments at the Joint Systems Manufacturing Center (JSMC), a World War II-era tank factory, including buying new equipment to build the Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle (EFV). The facility had been churning out tanks for the Army and Marine Corps until the 1970s. The plant was reopened later that decade and has been refurbishing Abrams A1M1 and A1M2 tanks ever since.
