Lockheed Martin Nabs $479 Million Japan FMS For Aegis Vessel Equipment

The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) last week awarded Lockheed Martin [LMT] a $579 million contract modification to continue to develop and integrate support for two new Japanese Aegis ships. The Nov. 27 contract announcement under a Foreign Military Sale (FMS) specifically said the company will continue to “develop, test and integrate equipment, material, software and hardware end items in support of the Aegis System Equipped Vessel (ASEV) and deliver the system to Japan.” This modification increases the total value of…
