HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – L3Harris Technologies [LHX] opened its newest solid rocket motor (SRM) production facility here during a Monday ceremony, marking another milestone in its continuing plans to expand production of solid rocket motor parts while also providing space to further increase capacity. The new Advanced Manufacturing Facility (AMF) - South has more than six football fields’ worth of space at 370,000 square feet to produce inert solid rocket motor parts for small and medium systems.
