L3Harris Breaks Ground On New Rocket Motor Facilities, This Time In Virginia

CULPEPER, Va. – L3Harris Technologies’ [LHX] Aerojet Rocketdyne division started clearing trees for new roads and facilities in recent months as it breaks ground to expand its Orange County, Virginia facility to produce small and medium solid rocket motors (SRMs) for the Javelin anti-armor missiles. This expansion is primarily funded from a 2023 $215.6 million Defense Production Act (DPA) cooperative agreement to expand and modernize its facilities both here and in Huntsville, Ala.
