L-3 Supplies Six Airports in Latin America with Detection Systems

L-3 Communications [LLL] says six airports in Mexico, Columbia and Costa Rica have selected it to provide a range of aviation security screening equipment. The value of the awards and quantities of systems ordered were not disclosed. The screening systems include the ProVision whole body imager, the OptEX desk top explosives trace detection system, the eXaminer 3DX explosives detection system (EDS) and eXaminer SX reduced-size EDS, and the European Union-approved VIS-HR checked baggage screening system for level one screening.
