Japan Requests $199 Million In UGM-84L Harpoon Block II Missiles

The State Department approved a possible $199 million Foreign Military Sale (FMS) request to Japan for 48 UGM-84L Harpoon Block II Missiles and associated equipment, parts, training and logistical support.The Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) notified Congress of the potential sale on May 12.The primary contractor would be Boeing [BA].The requested FMS would include 48 UGM-84L Harpoon Block II Missiles, containers, spare and repair parts, support equipment, publications and technical documentation, personnel training and training equipment, U.S. government and contractor…
