Implant Receives $750K Phase II Award from DHS S&T

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology (S&T) Directorate has awarded Implant Sciences Corp. [IMX] a 13-month, $750,000 Phase II Small Business Innovation Research contract for the delivery of a prototype handheld trace explosives sampler. Earlier this year S&T awarded Implant a Phase I SBIR contract to help with development of the Handheld Sampler. Implant plans to use is vortex collection technology in the Handheld Sampler to augment the process of collecting samples used in detecting and identifying…
