Hirsch Electronics Verification Station Approved by TSA

Hirsch Electronics says its Verification Station RUU has been placed on the Transportation Security Administration's (TSA) Biometrics for Access Control Qualified Products List (QPL). The RUU reader includes Cogent Systems' [COGT] fingerprint-based ID-Gate biometric subsystem, which was one of the first products on the QPL, a Hirsch scramble pad PIN reader, contact and contactless card readers, and LCD display. Hirsch says it is seeing interest from airports for biometric-based access control for employees.
