HASC Passes FY 2019 Defense Authorization Bill After All-Day Debate

The House Armed Services Committee (HASC) approved its fiscal year 2019 defense authorization bill by a 60-1 vote early May 10 after more than 14 hours of deliberations on various amendments.The committee voted, 33-28 to approve an amendment by Rep. Steve Knight (R-Calif.) to preserve the Department of Defense’s Test Resource Management Center (TRMC). The bill had targeted the center for potential elimination (Defense Daily, April 17). Rep.
