Hagel: Budget Review Won’t Be ‘Grand Plan’

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel said Wednesday that the Pentagon is not planning a “rollout of any grand plan” when it releases the findings of a comprehensive budget review in the coming days. Hagel has been briefed on the Strategic Choices and Management Review--a wide-reaching analysis of how the defense budget would be impacted by “sequestration” cuts--and the Pentagon plans to deliver it to Congress by early next week.
