GAO Denies Protest Of Army’s Nearly $1 Billion Switchblade Award To AeroVironment

The Government Accountability Office has denied a protest of the nearly $1 billion contract award to AeroVironment [AVAV] for its Switchblade loitering munitions, the company said Tuesday. Mistral Inc., a provider of unmanned aerial vehicles, filed the protest challenge in early September following the award to AeroVironment, with the GAO then issuing its decision on Dec. 13. “This decision reaffirms confidence in the integrity of the Army’s procurement process and its thorough evaluation of operational requirements.
