First Units Using Initial Replicator Systems Now, As Hicks Seeks Congress’ ‘Trust’ For Program

A first group of U.S. military units completed new equipment training and started operating on the initial attritable autonomous capabilities delivered under the Pentagon’s Replicator initiative, the department’s no. 2 civilian official confirmed on Wednesday. “We’ve been operating Replicator’s attritable autonomous systems in real time in multiple regions of the world. And we’re learning valuable lessons about ways to use [all-domain attritable autonomous systems] (ADA2) that we didn’t even consider at first,” Deputy Defense Secretary Kathleen Hicks said during remarks…
