EDS Corp. [EDS] has received a potential five-year, $179 million contract to provide information technology support services to the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC), which is the Defense Department's main source for identity management and personnel benefits data. EDS says it will help the DMDC validate and authenticate the identities of DoD affiliated personnel to authorize physical access to military sites worldwide and entry onto DoD networks and computer systems.
