EDS Gets $11.6M VA Award for HSPD-12 Smart Cards

EDS Corp. [EDS] received an $11.6 million contract from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to support the implementation and deployment of Personal Identity Verification cards to all VA employees, affiliates and contractors in compliance with HSPD-12. EDS says it has worked with the VA on previous identity management projects such as the Authentication and Authorization Infrastructure Project Implementation and Training Support program with the VA Office of Cyber and Information Security.
