DoD Official Touts Progress With Capable, Low-Cost Counter-Drone Systems As T-REX Wraps Up

CAMP ATTERBURY, Ind.—Industry is making progress developing highly capable, low-cost technologies to counter drones on the battlefield, a Defense Department official said here on Tuesday during an experimentation effort designed to assess the technical maturity of defense technologies. The Technology Readiness Experimentation (T-REX 24-2) event includes 78 technologies, including five counter-unmanned aircraft systems (C-UAS)—from traditional and non-traditional defense companies.
