DIU Awards Nikon Contract for 3D Printing Of Metal Parts Under FORGE Program

Nikon AM Synergy Inc. on Tuesday said it has received an Other Transaction Agreement from the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) to prototype the company’s 3D printing technology with metals for aeronautical needs. The value of the award, which was made under the Foundry for Operational Readiness and Global Effects (FORGE) program, was not disclosed. The award has a one-year base period and a six-month options.
