The Port of Houston Authority used Datastrip's DSV2+Turbo handheld card reader to conduct mobile enrollments of truckers for their Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC) to help the port meet an April 15 deadline for compliance with the TWIC program, Datastrip says. PHA used the readers as part of an outreach program by visiting trucking companies to remotely enroll drivers. The PHA has enrolled nearly 7,000 TWIC cardholders using the mobile readers.
