TSA Awards NEMA Small Contract for DICOS Expertise
The Transportation Security Administration awarded the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) a potential three-year, $600,000 contract to provide standards development expertise for the voluntary Digital Imaging and Communications in Security (DICOS) Standard 4.0. NEMA has developed and published each version of the DICOS standard and continues to support refinement and expansion with the consensus of industry manufacturers, international, government and small business stakeholders and holds the copyright to this voluntary standard. Development of DICOS Standard 4.0 supports TSA’s open architecture initiative.
TSA Awards Rohde & Schwarz Contract for AIT Support
The Transportation Security Administration has awarded Rohde & Schwarz a contract to provide Advanced Imaging Technology (AIT) system configuration management and test support for fielded systems. The value of the award was redacted. TSA operates AIT systems supplied by R&S at a checkpoint in New York’s La Guardia Airport and elsewhere. So far six of the company’s QPS 201 AIT systems have been donated for use and another 16 will be donated and deployed in fiscal year 2023 at two airport locations, TSA says. These systems will require configuration support and software installation.
TeleSecurity Sciences Nabs TSA Award for On-Person Screening Help
TeleSecurity Sciences Inc. received a contract modification to provide the Transportation Security Administration with additional work to support the continued development of the company’s On-Person Screening (OPS) Common Workstation 2.0 software development, testing and integration. The current contract is for the development and testing of CW 2.0 software for various transportation security equipment (TSE) technologies that support OPS and accessible property screening (APS) TSE. TeleSecurity Sciences will conduct human performance study to present alternative interface versions of the previously developed CW 2.0 interfaces for AIT and other OPS and APS TSE during a data collection and live demonstration phase.
