CISA Seeks Information on Countering Foreign Influences

The Department of Homeland Security Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency has issued a Request for Information related to a planned acquisition of professional services to identify emerging foreign influence narratives and predict likely impacts for the agency. CISA says that the output will be a detailed prediction of likely impact of foreign influence content, narratives, and campaigns to facilitate communications and engagement planning and execution. This includes analysis of likely audience targeted, audience likely to respond, and likely response if taken. DHS Plans Open Market Competition for Cellular Wireless Managed Services

The Department of Homeland Security has determined that its department-wide Cellular Wireless Managed Services (CWMS) requirement will be solicited as an open market competition. The CWMS was originally solicited under the General Services Administration’s Federal Supply Schedule 70 General Purpose Commercial Information Technology Equipment, Software, and Services. The acquisition will be conducted as a small business set-aside with a single award planned. The contract will include a base year and four one-year option periods. Under the CWMS contract, the winning vendor will provide comprehensive commercial cellular wireless managed services. A Request for Proposal is expected in June and an award in October. TSA Reopens Competition for Airport Security Screening Services

The Transportation Security Administration, under its Screening Partnership Program, has reopened competition for the private sector to provide airport security screening services to airports that opt-in to replace federal screeners. TSA is seeking responses from small businesses. The services include screening of passengers and personal property. TSA expects to make one or more awards under the solicitation for Security Screening Services with the ordering period running from date of award through May 31, 2026. DHS CWMD Office Shifts RIID Industry Day to Virtual Meeting

Due to coronavirus concerns, the Department of Homeland Security Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Office has shifted its planned industry day for Radioisotope Detection and Identification Devices (RIIDs) from March 23 in Washington, D.C. to a virtual meeting to be held on April 21.
