Cogent gets 1,000 Unit Purchase Order for BlueCheck

The Los Angeles County Regional Identification System (LACRIS) has awarded Cogent Systems [COGT] a contract for 1,000 BlueCheck mobile identification devices to be deployed to law enforcement agencies in Los Angeles County. L.A. County law enforcement officers already have 500 of the handheld devices. The BlueCheck devices use secure wireless communications to provide law enforcement officers with access to the LACRIS Automated Fingerprint Identification System (LAFIS), allowing them to perform a rapid fingerprint check of subjects in the field by…
