FLIR Systems Inc.’s [FLIR] contract to provide the Helium-3 Alternative Implementation Backpack Program (HAIBP) to the Department of Homeland Security is worth $6.5 million, DHS says. DHS announced the award in March but redacted the value of the contract, which will equip the Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Office Mobile Detection Deployment Program and Transportation Security Administration with 85 HAIBP backpacks to provide advanced radiation detection capabilities.

has awarded Space Metrics, Inc. a potential $1.5 million contract to provide program management and analytical support services. The contract is a small business set-aside.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has reached an agreement with National Customs Directorate of Paraguay to help Paraguay secure its borders through the implementation of the Automated Targeting System-Global traveler screening system (ATS-G). The ATS-G software helps identify high-risk travelers such as smugglers and foreign terrorists.
