The U.S. Army has awarded BAE Systems a $50 million contract for the continued production of MK 90 propellant grains used in the helicopter-launched Hydra 70 family of rockets by the U.S. and allied militaries.“The Hydra 70 missile is the work horse of the unguided missile category,” said Reed McPeak, vice president and general manager of Ordnance Systems at BAE. “It is the most commonly used helicopter-launched weapon system in the world, and we are pleased to fuel this multi-service,…
