ATK, Goodrich Get Contract For First ORS Satellite

The Air Force gave Alliant Techsystems [ATK], teamed with Goodrich [GR] ISR Systems Division, a contract to produce the first operational Air Force ORS satellite, designated ORS Sat-1. ATK will provide the spacecraft bus systems to Goodrich, which as the satellite prime contractor will integrate it with their payload. The bus design is based on the ATK Space System Responsive Space Modular Bus (RSMB).
