The Army’s Joint Project Manager-Biological Defense plans to issue a full and open competition solicitation to further develop prototype systems for the Joint Biological Standoff Detection System, Increment 2 (JBSDS 2), which will provide standoff detection, tracking and discrimination of Biological Warfare Agent clouds. Up to three contracts are expected to be awarded. The primary objective of this procurement is to competitively develop and mature biological standoff detection prototype systems as part of a Phase 2 process for the JBSDS 2 program. Sol.
