Analogic [ALOG] has received a $16 million contract from L-3 Communications [LLL] for eXaminer 3DX and eXaminer SX Explosive Detection Systems. The subcontract relates to recent orders by the Transportation Security Administration from L-3 for the EDS systems. L-3 is the prime contractor for the eXaminers and Analogic provides the core EDS system. The SX is a reduced-size EDS meant to compete with Reveal Imaging Technologies' offerings in the EDS market.
