Airbus Helicopters signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Tuesday with the state-owned Czech Republic company LOM PRAHA s.p. for a future cooperation in helicopter maintenance, repair, and overhaul, Airbus said Wednesday.

LOM PRAHA s.p. is an established service supplier to the Czech Ministry of Defence. It “is experienced in maintenance, training, repair, overhaul and modernisation of aircraft and helicopters, as well as training solutions for NATO,” Airbus said in a statement.

The MoU also covers national customization, service & support, training, and the potential to extend the activities to future export business.

The memorandum was signed by Oliver Prestel, sales manager of the Europe region at Airbus Helicopters, and Roman Planicka, CEO of LOM PRAHA s.p.

“As an established service supplier to the Czech Ministry of Defence, the Company [LOM PRAHA] would strongly benefit from an industrial cooperation with Airbus Group, a global leader in aeronautics, space and related services,” Airbus said.
