Government services provider Vectrus, Inc. [VEC] on Monday said it has acquired Advantor Systems for $44 million in cash, adding new capabilities in security management solutions and expanding its geographic footprint and customer base.

Vectrus said that Florida-based Advantor has 150 employees and generated $35 million in sales in 2018. Vectrus had $1.3 billion in sales last year.

Advantor has core capabilities in integrated monitoring systems for intrusion detection, access control, video management and identity badging, and provides standard and customized training for monitoring operators to system administrators and maintainers.

Vectrus said that Advantor is the only vertically integrated security management technology platform in the industry and that the deal positions “as an innovator in the emerging converged infrastructure market.”

“Advantor strengthens Vectrus as an innovator in the emerging converged infrastructure market and supports our strategy to advance Vectrus into a higher value, technology-enabled and differentiated platform,” Chuck Prow, president and CEO of Vectrus, said in a statement. “Bringing decades of knowledge, experience, and technology that protects some of our nation’s most critical facilities and bases, this acquisition extends our maintenance of facilities to the electronic protection and security of facilities. This thereby increases our scope and strengthens our proposition to clients as a fully integrated provider and partner in their installations and facilities of the future.”

Advantor has key customers in the Indo-Pacific Command areas or responsibility, and is the exclusive provider of integrated command, control and communications networked services to U.S. Forces Korea and is “the security provider of choice” for Japan’s F-35 fighter program, Vectrus said. The company’s solutions are deployed at over 2,000 client sites globally.

Other key customers of Advantor include the Air Force, Air National Guard, Army, Navy, Department of Homeland Security, and the State Department. The company’s security solutions are at more than 50 percent of major Air Force bases in the continental U.S. and over 50 percent of Joint Base Commands.

Vectrus said that Advantor is one of only three companies that meet that Air Force’s Integrated Base Defense Security System requirements.

Vectrus acquired Advantor from the Infrasafe and the private equity firm McCarthy Capital. Infrasafe’s financial adviser on the deal was Raymond James & Associates.
