U.S. OKs Potential $600 Million Deal With Slovakia For 12 AH-1Z Attack Helicopters

The State Department has approved a potential $600 million deal with Slovakia for the sale of 12 Bell [TXT] AH-1Z Attack helicopters and additional equipment. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) notified Congress on Wednesday of the new foreign military sale. Jaroslav Nad, Slovakia’s defense minister, said in March that the deal for AH-1Z helicopters was offered as compensation to replace the MiG-29 aircraft that Bratislava had donated to Ukraine, with the U.S. and European Union covering some of the…
