U.S. OKs $725 Million In New Weapons Aid For Ukraine, Includes Anti-Personnel Landmines

The U.S. has approved a new $725 million weapons aid package for Ukraine, which includes supplying Kyiv with “non-persistent” anti-personnel landmines. The new security assistance is the Biden administration’s 71st package of equipment to be pulled from existing Pentagon inventories using the Presidential Drawdown Authority (PDA), and also includes providing Ukraine with unspecified drones and counter-UAS munitions. “As part of the surge in security assistance that President Biden announced on Sept. 26 to put Ukraine in the strongest possible position,…
