TSA Wants Info on GPS Tracking for Tank Cars

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has issued a Request for Information from industry regarding capabilities, processes and methodologies that currently exist for developing a system that can integrate Global Positioning System (GPS) location and shipment data for freight rail tank cars transporting bulk shipments of Toxic Inhalation Hazard materials. The data will need to be visually displayed on a Geospatial Information System/satellite-imagery based platform. Sol. No. RFI-GPS. Respond by April 20. Contact: Kerry Toscano, kerry.toscano@dhs.gov.
