TSA Awards Contract for Systems Integration Facility

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) awarded a $28.5 million contract to Texas-based Vic Thompson Company for the design, build-out, baggage handling system (BHS) maintenance and support of its Systems Integration Facility. The TSA Systems Integration Facility (TSIF), which is slated to open late this summer, will give the agency the ability to test new, emerging and upgraded technologies, how to fuse different sensor systems at checkpoints, and improve the efficiency of its screener workforce.
