State Department Approves $170 Million AMRAAM Deal With Norway

The State Department has approved a possible $170 million deal with Norway for the sale of 60 advanced medium-range air-to-air missiles (AMRAAMs).The Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) notified Congress on Nov. 14 of the foreign military sale (FMS), which includes Raytheon’s [RTN] AIM-120 C-7 missiles, as well as 4 AMRAAM guidance section spares.“The proposed sale will improve Norway’s capabilities for mutual defense, regional security, force modernization, and U.S. and NATO interoperability,” the DSCA said in a statement. “This sale will…
